Centre dash lighting filter screens.
I will be re-painting my centre dash shortly.
I’m aware that you can slip paper in between the filters when doing this or possibly remove the flitered light screens completely.

Which would you go for and if the latter how did you go about careful removal?
They are plastic welded so I assume it’s either a sharp knife in order which would be easier said than done or re-heat these locations to pull away one by one.

Repeat the same for re-installing or a little bit of glue?
Would be interested to hear other people’s views if they have done this or any tips or tricks.
The rear side of the dash panel with the filters still situ a simple mask of 3M blue tape would do the job.
(There would only be minor overspray if any anyway to the rear.)

My concern with the paper method is it would not leave a nice clean painted edge and could easily damage the paint when removing it. No Guts, No Glory.
