I wonder how long it will be before there's a kit to make a G-Wagen look like a Jimny....

Nice! until you get a puncture.....
would have thought something like a swingaway wheel carrier then a fullsize spare wouldn't be too much to ask? |

This really is the nearest thing to a proper new Defender, unfortunately it is still too small to be practical and lacks towing ability, but it depends on what you need/want. A long wheel base option would have been good but I guess it would look odd because of its tiny size.
I do like though |

One was at Caffine & Machine for their Japanese night last night. Very nice thing, if rather tiny, but looked to be a fun machine to spend some time in.

For those wanting one, with rear seats at least, you might need to get your order in quick
https://www.motor1.com/news/394331/suzuki-...in-europe/ It's seems crazy that companies can sell huge SUVs with giant V8 diesels, but a tiny 1.5 petrol has to be culled 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I think we now know that these tests exclude actual dpf regeneration cycles, so I wonder if the tables would be turned we included total emissions including those averaged over a number of regen cycles?

Fleet average is a strange concept and there's all sorts of gaming to be done with such complex rules. |

This is sad news indeed for the new Jimny. And frankly bureaucracy gone mad in my humble opinion.

It's a real life example of why a simple basic vehicle can't be sold in any quantity in Europe anymore. Suzuki will need to install their modern Boosterjet turbo engine to be able to get it back on sale as a passenger car. They may decide it's not worth the effort for such a niche vehicle. I guess this why the Ineos Grenadier must use the thoroughly modern and complex BMW engines as well. There is just no way to homologate simple engines now, unless you only want to sell to the developing world. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I replaced the 110 Adventure with the new Jimny (pics below). Very different cars yet so similar!
Two seats and space for the dog is ideal for me. A modern car with excellent offload capabilities, easier to manoeuvre of steep downhill mountain trails. I will miss the 110 and its greater power but this new toy is great fun. I also have to admit to be relieved at not worrying anymore about reliability, security and height of vehicle.
