For those interested the three key races start today from 4pm UK time and can been seen live on YouTube.
https://www.ultra4racing.com/race/66 Thursday, UTV Side by Sides. Check out the unlimited class. Those things are bigger than a Defender 90 in terms of tyre size, track width and wheel base, they do look cool. Friday, The Everyman Challenge. These cars are closer looking to road going vehicles, if you squint. The Ford factory supplied customer racing Broncos are there for the first time. Saturday, The King of the Hammers. Totally unlimited in terms of vehicle design, suspension and horsepower. These vehicles can drive at 100 mph through the desert yet still crawl and winch up a shear rock face. All the qualifiers are on YouTube so you can check out the vehicles in advance. Jim Marsden from Gigglepin is back on the mike again this year If you have not seen this before, give it a go. The tech, the vehicles and the landscape is amazing. |
