Fixing Dixon Bate 5T tow jaw to cross member
I'm looking to get bolts to fit the Dixon Bate tow jaw to the rear cross member of my Puma as a recovery point. Is it simply a case of bolting it on using M10 bolts x 60-65mm c/w a spring washer?

Thanks.

Thanks but it's got captive nuts so I don't think that's easily done. I'm more worried that the threads shall already be damaged / corroded.

When I built my (Td5) 110, I had the chassis galvanised.

Of course, when I got the chassis back from the coaters, the threads were all blocked up, so i tried running a tap through the towbar holes (to fit a NATO hitch) but the theads came out very messed up, so in the end I drilled them out and tapped to M16 (factory size is M14)

These fitted (just) through the hitch holes and made the whole thing a much tighter fit...the M14's seemed to rattle around the hitch holes

They are threaded and ISTR you will struggle to get a spreader plate behind, even if you could Mike
