The generic eBay 3.5mm car microphones are OK.

If replacing the original and wanting to mount to the stud on the column cover, check for one which has a "socket" fitting on the mic, most have the ball/stud on the mic.

Something like eBay Item No. 283420477877 (elbow head mono) or eBay Item No. 223413479383  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
