Do you have a link to the specific Coleman? I had an Instant Tourer, but it was just too small, about 6ft square, and wasn’t Hugh enough to send up in. I did like how easy it was to put up and down though. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Have you thought of a Tentipi
Bit of a marmite tent - some people love them Extremely good in wind as the wind blows around them Truly a one man put up tent - and faster than a RV5 if you include putting up the guys Lots of headroom Can have a fire inside for cold, wet days and ventilation for hot days Packs up small - size of a large rucksack Click image to enlarge Last edited by boode on 26th Feb 2019 1:14pm. Mine is a 7 which is perfectly fine for a couple, but if I was buying again I would buy a 9 as you never regret having more space

If you thought the Oztents were overpriced, try Tentipi prices.
Need a mortgage nowadays given the huge price increases over the years With sloping sides, you could probably only stand up near the middle - the tipi designs don't give much internal space relative to the footprint. Have you looked at the air based tents? Some can be put up very fast by just plugging in an electric pump. never used one myself and since they are new-ish may also be pricey. |

I had the RV4 for a few years, used to use it for the LR shows in the U.K. it would go in the 110 SW just about but I wouldn’t want to have to get it up onto roof bars or roof rack as I found it far too heavy to lift on my own and that’s why I sold it, heavy and awkward to transport however once erected it was a great tent IMO.

Bit of a thread resurrection…
I’m looking at the RV5 and wondered where you got the signature edition from? A few years on, any long term thoughts? |

Apart from the plaque is there anything different about it from the non signature version?

I’ve had my RV4 for over 10 years, it’s used frequently from April to October every year on various Land Rover shows, metal detecting weekends and expeditions overland the last one being Barcelona last summer. I also have a twin Ozpod and foxwing.
It takes me and my son 30mins to set the whole lot up including oztent stretchers. The Ozpod’s are rarer than hens teeth but worth every penny! 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

Seems like the tents are suitably durable.
How are the stretchers and the chairs? |
