Steve, the Odyssey 1500 is an AGM battery. i.e. it is an Absorbed glass mat battery without any free electrolyte so there is no way of topping it up.

Just charge it with a decent charger such as a Ctek charger set to AGM setting (snowflake)

Do something heavy with it ie a load of winching and really give it a hard time then recharge again. If you dont do that with odysseys they just dont last. Great for heavy work, terrible for just standard battery fare.

Are you confusing Odysseys with another battery starting with an O, Mike?

We use Odysseys as standard batteries in our Disco with no problems. Odysseys have a goor reputation.

Nope. For anything except heavy load/discharge/load etc, Odysseys are overkill (in my opinion) when there are others like varta etc which will do the job just as well for less than half the price.
