How much power?

I know the net is full of tips and tricks regarding fuel adjustments, boost rings, intercoolers and turbos, but can anyone post any real facts on how much horsepower and torque you can genuinely get out of a Tdi engine?

Anyone actually used a rolling road to see how much of a difference any of those mods really make?

What's the maximum power you can extract from a Tdi engine without risking it blowing up? 150? 200?

Interested in hearing what data is really out there.

I believe the accepted max that can be achieved from a 300Tdi while retaining reliability is 160bhp. This is based on a hybrid turbo, big intercooler and free flowing intake and exhaust, with the fuelling set up to match.

Not sure what the official dyna figures are for a tuned Tdi is as all the work on dynos seems to have been done for Tdci engines mainly.

I would be interested to know any official figures people may have.

I would think a limiting factor will be that in most countries the youngest Tdi you will find is now 20 years old. ---
