Due to location Iโd recommend having a chat with Devon 4x4, theyโll be very knowledgable with such things.
That would be my suggestion. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

As I recall the tacho input has by law to be connected to the speed transducer on the LT230, displacing the speedo connector. It may be as simple as unplugging the tacho (which should have a tamper-proof seal) and plugging the speedo back in.

Tachograph and wiring removed today took about 2.5 hours removed all the wires that had been spliced into the loom/cigar lighter /speedo and some that were spliced into wires that I did not know were they went it was all a bit messy but has been tidied up now,a new transducer was fitted into the gearbox and the original wiring was found tucked away but not water/dust proofed so connectors were a bit corroded but all cleaned and working now, thankyou for all your help.
