Old and Cold But Still Good.
It was bitterly cold here early yesterday morning, but the old diesel Series IIA started fine (as evidenced by the exhaust smoke!)

It even warmed up very slightly in the cab by the time I arrived, to go on the last day of this season's beating. (No pre-heaters here! Wink )

Out all day on the frosty fields.

Lovely!

I must have the oldest car on the Shoot by about 40 years. Shocked

Not a Defender?

I leave them in the shed when the roads are covered in salt, their chassis seem to rust more easily than the old Series........

There is something just right about a bronze green Series 2/2A with a truck cab and 3/4 tilt. I like my Series Ones but I keep thinking I need S2 in my life again Rolling Eyes

Nice to see your Series IIA is still working for a living. Our local shoot was parked up in the field next to us yesterday but it was all HiLux, Rangers and Isuzu's Crying or Very sad Defender 90XS SW

Thanks for the comments gents. Thumbs Up

I think Defender owners are more willing to accept and like Series vehicles, than some die-hard Series owners are prepared to like Defenders.

Try putting a pic of a Defender on the Series One forum. Shocked

Even the SII forum might get a bit sniffy! Laughing

Good bunch on here.
