Silent coat wheelarches / tub
I am going to silentcoat my rear tub wheelarches on my 90 hardtop at some point with the 2mm sheets. If I apply it internally as I’ve seen done quite a few time on the forum, does the original Land Rover one piece rubber mat still sit okay over the silent coat?

I have thought about applying it externally on the underside of the wheelarches instead. Anyone see any problems with that? Does it withstand an external application? Obviously I’ll have to cut it to fit around the reinforcing sections.

Thanks

I used the 3mm black silent coat all over mine, then applied think exmore carpets and the mat still fits. (looks V cool)
Had to trim carpet around the doors a bit, but no issues with the mat.

It's really not designed to be applied externally. It's quite a soft material and I can imagine it being slowly shredded under a wheel arch. Darren
