Sorry to hear this fella and i hope the scroats get what they deserve.......to help others avoid your anguish please could you list the security you had on the truck in a little more detail as it may make others realise how poor some of them are.if they took an hour to knick it either they were useless or your security was decent.... Did you have a bbus and if so had you moved it from the wing or alarmed the headlight panel ?Had you moved the battery cable into the truck ,did you have a second earth to battery and did you have any ignition/fuel cut of switches? Before the security police say anything this guy has lost his pride and joy so mentioning security that has been bypassed is positive security information in my book and needs spreading. |

Must admit I agree with Nitram17s question on this.
All defender owners here are gutted to hear your loss Jamie. Perhaps you wouldn’t mind sharing info on the security you had fitted as it obviously took time to defeat it but it was finally defeated. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Hi yes no problem! Unfortunately everything was factory standard including the alarm and immobiliser. The only extra security fitted was the Safe T Pedal Lock. Although it took them a fair amount of time to take it they must have definitely been pros at taking them as we were awake and only about 10-15ft away from where it was parked. Not sure if I said it in my original post but they worked on it for over an hour on the drive then rolled it into the Side road across from the house then drove off around 10-15mins later. This all took place at my girlfriends house which I don’t stay at every night so who ever took it must have been watching which days I’m likely to stay there! Will definitely be taking extra security measures in my next defender! Also if anyone knows of or has a defender 90 County 2008/2009/2010 for sale I’d be very interested! Thanks
