Could be a series 2a! Difficult to see the grille and whether it's plastic or mesh? Has a black number plate so quite an early 3 if it is.
Either way, good spot |

Definitely a III - you can see the heater intake in the side of the wing. Darren

I put this on the SII forum several days ago, for two reasons:
I live in the same village and know the Hall well. I drove past it over a week ago and spotted a light green full soft top SIII parked in front of it. Did some googling, and yes it is Jamie Oliver's and it is a K reg SIII. More relevant to this forum, when I drove past a couple of days ago, parked in front of the Hall was a nice Defender 110 Station Wagon. I can't speak for his food, but he has good taste in motor vehicles! We are thinking of inviting him to our local leaf-spring Pub Meet! |

Fantastic house, I'd genuinely love to have a look around. As well as his garage. James

It's a nice house.
I had a look round when Sir John Ruggles Brise was alive. A friend of mine who worked on the Estate was doing some redecoration in one of the bedrooms, scraping off wallpaper, when the name of my great-grandfather gradually appeared, in copperplate writing in pencil. He had written his name on the wall whilst working at the Hall at the beginning of the last century (he had his own building business). Sir John left it exposed but covered with a picture, or mirror. I bet it has been covered over, since......... |

That's a great tale. Let's hope you bump in to Jamie to ask if it's still there. James

Just had a look at the sales brochure, that is a stunning property, but quite daunting to take on. Hopefully Jamie will give it the care it needs. James
