Just a LR dealer that can't obtain enough secondhand defenders (or ANY new ones

) trying his luck and hoping he can make a killing.
There are some people about that are prepared to pay over the odds, but the real value is no more than what it cost new.

The real test for values will be in three years time or so. Once the hype around the launch of the new model settles and we know how good they are, and how much they cost to keep going, there'll be something to compare the value of the old model against. If we're still allowed to drive EU5 (or older) diesels when and where we want will also affect future value.

Bought mine Nov 2017 from LR agent pre-reg with 21 miles for £39,995

Sold it Nov 2018 with 1,550 miles for £40,250 to trade buyer, now listed up around £49,500

So yes, prices are firming up on these!
