Need some help please. No one appears to do a black SS bolt kit for the exterior. Any suggestions of a company I could use to spec what I need? Could my existing SS bolts be coated? On the Trophy all the doors have black bolts but I may just do the rear and cross member few under the rear door as it’s all getting painted black. Cheers Andy

Have you looked at getting a standard set Xylan coated? Turns them black and gives corrosion protection.

Accu will stock most things in black stainless or they will make them to order.

I had a set from nakagennagga (the guys in Germany) they were on back order so I added my name to the list, they have some issues, but I am told its due to the process of how they are coated, some have the middle of the screw still silver etc, but they worked for what I needed, though not cheep. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

Making progress, mainly taking bits off . Croytec hope they can anodise the handles black which would be handy and just trying to arrange the roll cage delivery.

Test fit of the winch, 4 bumper holes are a little off which is annoying but easy enough the fix.
Click image to enlarge Managed to get the handles apart for black anodising ( small M3 bolt with loctite was the potential issue ) Click image to enlarge Andy 2014 Fuji 110 SW LS3 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post751233.html#751233 2014 Corris 110 SW http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40056.html My old Xtech 90 build.. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15681.html LS3 V8 build... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49051.html |

Thanks Shane,
Sills have proved tricky to get as obviously Bowler wont sell them so I bought a set standard from them, fitted the mounting brackets and a quick scan will let me create the T2 design. They are a single piece cut and folded with 2 end caps, and I can then retain the jacking points. I will also print a bracket to hold the battery conditioner that clips onto the new sill under the door. Out of curiosity, why have you gone bilstein instead of Fox 2.0's? I could be wrong but you had the Fox set up a little while back? Would ike to know your thoughts. 4.0 V8 Defender 90

There’s always the black bilsteins if you fancy an upgrade.
