I think the front end looks much cleaner without DRL bumper. Less is more an' all that.
I remember following your last build thread where you tried loads of options and then paired down to what you thought worked best. The result was fantastic but IMO this build is another level. So impressive. WARNING.

Thanks ^.

I have Laser Triple R's on the transit and the output from them is impressive so I knew I would miss the ST4's in the grille i recently sold.

The equivalent linear unit to the transit lights are the Linear 12 15" so I am adding 2 of them to the rack.

There is no difference in light output/beam with the ST4s mounted behind a mesh grille and it makes them a bit more stealth

Got on to the new lights this evening.

Mounted them first using the top fix brackets with SS fixings sunk into the T channel at each side.

Then remove the front cross member from the rack and drill 2 holes.

Feed the loom thru the cross member

And then a single connector attached in behind the passenger clamp.

I've just sat and read this entire thread and all I can say about it is that its been absolutely awesome. Thumbs Up

That V8 sounds gorgeous and I bet you're going to have some fun at the traffic light grands prix. Whistle

Off Topic slightly, I'm amazed the quality you're getting out of your 3D printer - I have one and I've tended to use it in speed-over-quality mode so quality's not been good enough for in-cab exposure - have done the switch bezel thing on last vehicle but time for me to rethink, especially if I want to put something in my forthcoming L663 Whistle Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Went for a drive today. Better brakes on my granny’s bike so must get them firmed up in the morning but apart from that all seems well. Going to bring her home tomorrow. Andy

I was lucky, had vouchers so they had to sell me one. It’s actually fully machined for them, branded on the rear etc. I thought it was just a normal Mota they added a boss too.

Managed to get hold of a 14” version. It helps just living down the road from twisted! Does the front boss just pull off or is there a knack to it? I don’t want to end up chewing up one of the edges.

Have to say my favourite part of the drive was the new steering wheel, better that the startech.

Yes a wee spray of oil onto the splines, let it sit and a gentle tap should free it up. Thumbs Up Andy

Good to have it back home. Have the first 100 miles run in and so far so good. Brakes are getting better, slight rattle from exhaust on the mud flap bracket but i was expecting that. Need to adjust the gearbox cable to get tiptronic to engage.
I got the front cubby lid printed so I can now get them covered, although I might leave it a while in case I think of something else I might add... Also fitted the rear seat heater switches, same place as before.

Not actually hooked them up yet. I think I am going to make a nice wee fuse board under the rear cubby, keep all the LS loom, modules etc in the main battery box and then the other bits I add all back in the rear. Andy
