[For Sale] Landrover Corporate Wear Jacket
Hi Guys

I bought this jacket from another member here and I have never really worn it.

Yesterday my wife had a clear out of our Jacket cupboard and I thought I would put it back on here to get my money back.

I think it was brand new when I got it, and I have only worn it one night in Wales last year.

It says its a Medium, this morning my son (in the photos) put it on and he is 6'3". There is plenty of room in there.

So 1st one who offers me £60 gets it delivered inside UK.

Many thanks

On your bike...

Seriously, he has no interest in the rebuild, in the 18 months we have been doing it, he has probably seen it 3 times. The last time he saw it, it was coming together and he did show more interest then.

Once its running around and if his mates show interest it might change, but he's not having it. 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned.

My 15yo (son not Landy) wants the ‘71 Lightweight V8 which is being ignored in the garage at the mo as “his first car” so “come on dad get fixing”. Back chassis rails are being kept alive by the roll cage and I’m not sure I really love it enough to invest time/cash to fix, but if he was interested in a joint project...
Sadly don’t think the jacket would help 😛

This might not go down to well here, but they're not right for a 1st car, yes I know, we drove them but;

No1 They are shocking in a crash and really need to be driven by more experienced drivers.

No 2 They are expensive to insure for young drivers

No 3 Young people want to drive into towns and leave their cars without a thought - it would get nicked 1st night out.

The other day on Facebay I saw a 03 VW Polo with 110K on the clock for £250 - perfect. It wont be trouble free for £250 but neither will a Landrover.

If it was a year down the road we (I mean he) would have bought that and we (I mean me) could fix it up for April 2020 when he turns 17.

If he can keep the Polo or whatever looking the way VW meant it to be for a year or two, we can perhaps think about him driving my LR's (with me in the left seat) 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned.

^ what cool parents you’d be. My father is interested and supporting but not physically. Which would be nice seeing as he’s retiring without a single hobby other than watching TV.

Also in regard to insurance,
No NCD, 1 Claim ongoing, £2200 annually to insure, but that includes business use.

That’s with no driving offences or convictions, parked securely and that.

Can’t imagine what it would cost if it was a v8 with ridiculous displacement. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

I completely agree with HH07 - which pains me as my first 2 cars were S1 80" (brilliant apart from the fuel pump membrane which I think was made of tissue paper) and a S3 LWT (which was great when the 24V wasn't catching fire). Neither had any security bar a red battery disconnect switch, although the Landy survived 4 years as a student in Liverpool (lived in Toxteth and local guy used to sit in it and make brum-brum noises) sadly those days are gone. All nephews/neices have done the VW polo thing, so like HH07 thats what mine will be in!

ps keeping the jacket sale alive!

Oslo

The greatest displacement in the V8 is sadly between the top and bottom of the rear chassis rails Big Cry Embarassed
