There is definatly a mod on the back door lock mine has had a new one when i could not unlock the back door with either the key or the central locking. 1 check to do is check the bonnet swich as that can get water in it, but we have not had rain for ages. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Does the courtesy light come on with each door open (testing the door jamb switch)? If its sensing a door open, is one of the switches is giving an earth signal (faulty switch or wire)?

Why do they have a bonnet switch, does it show a warning light if the bonnet is still open, shame it doesn't trigger the alarm! Also it says in the manual that if you haven't got a seat belt on it will show a warning sign but doesn't in mine Perhaps they were being optimistic with their technology |

No wires go to the seat belt buckles but EVERYONE knows that? It is not a Eurobox with idiot lights.. hell they don't even have airbags.
A mystery as to how they get type approval. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS.. |

Oh so it does trigger the alarm, so when people say they have had their bonnets nicked it must have set the alarm off unless they disabled that as well - never heard of a bonnet alarm -I'm impressed And there IS a seatbelt warning if you enable it - agreed pain in the ass, that's one function I could do without! Thanks |
