I took the vent completely off and glued the seal to the bulkhead, then ran a fine bead of clear waterproof mastic around, fits nice looks good as well .

well finally got round to using the defender ,they are far better than the foam ones I had fitted , hardy any draft coming in I might even fit a bit of foam to the bottom edge on the flap .
But well worth fitting the rubber type , IMO . |

Don’t bother with genuine Land Rover foam seals, I have had no luck with them, they don’t fit correctly and the adhesive tape becomes unbonded from the foam in hot weather.
Bizarrely Britpart pattern foam seals are superb at a fraction of the price! |

Tolley what glue did you use to secure the rubber seals to the flaps? I've tried replacing the foam ones and they keep water out when the vehicle is stationary but I can see daylight through the bottom corners. The water seems to run in and drips on the accelerator pedal when driving in rain at more than 60mph so keen to try the rubber variants. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

It’s worth checking that the hinge isn’t bent, if the gap is that bad. |

Thanks both The hinges look ok and the panels shut flat to the bulkhead, shining a torch from outside and the bottom corners seem to let light through though. I've sealed up the screen, top of the screen and the seal below it along with the windscreen hinge blocks so running out of options. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

A new windscreen seal might be your next job, looking at the cracks in the corner. Lets water in , you know 'Volvo XC 70, taking the rough with the smooth’
