Am I the only person to regret selling a Land Rover? Probably not but am I alone in stalking ebay and the like to see if they come up for sale? I have to admit a small obsession in tracking down my old One Ten and Ninety. Just a few weeks ago I missed the chance of possibly buying back G436UHT It came up on autotrader of all places and I did not look for a week or so. Typical
This was it back in 2003 on my drive Click image to enlargeuht by Richard Holmes, on Flickr and on autotrader a few weeks ago Click image to enlargeg436uht-2 by Richard Holmes, on Flickr it still has my freelander high level brake light So after about 10 years of looking I missed it by a week! I am still looking for my One Ten, still MOT'd and on the road and I sold it back in say 1995 or so. Im told it was in the Ongar area, lets hope its not another 10 year wait.... 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

Thanks Charles
Time for one more project I think and I would love it to be this one. Sentimental really, a 110 turbo diesel so no rocket but it was my first coil sprung land rover, brought it at about 6 years old and went everywhere in it. This photo is in a field not far from where you live! Click image to enlargebgh by Richard Holmes, on Flickr 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

Could you not just contact the person who placed the advert and find out who it sold to?

Yep I regretted selling my 90 and had the opportunity to buy it back about 3 or 4 months after selling it. Unfortunately couldn't as I'd spent out on a Range Rover that turned out to be a lemon so double kick in the balls.
Its G782 ABX , not taxed or MOTd so fearing its met its demise. |

The Ninety was sold by a dealer so has a new owner now. The One Ten is out there somewhere - a note under the windscreen job if I can ever find it 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

I feel your pain! I sold an early 90 CSW about 6 years ago having only owned it for 9 months. At the time I had 2 very young children and having those 'to do' jobs on the Landy together with looking after the kids, full time work and keeping the Mrs happy something had to give! Massive regret but I'm back on with another CSW - Its not my old 2.5 Petrol but an early CSW - I'm happy .........For now

It's nice to see it's not really changed much at least.
I've always regretted not buying my Dad's TDI soft dash RRC, the first LR my Dad let me drive on the road. Richard Holmes, I have your old One Ten and it’s being refurbished bodywork wise at the moment. We had the chassis sand blasted, repaired and hot dipped as it was in such good condition for the age, so it’s running on it's original chassis still! I still have to original engine stored, but have put a 200tdi in it as I use it as much as possible. It’s a lovely truck and I can’t wait to get it back on the road. Hope this message gets to you fella. I’ll try and find some pictures of the chassis work. You’ll note someone did a ‘paint job’ on it before I bought it, but that is being rectified and it’s going back to Windjammer blue! Phew!
I have got many pictures but will send more if you’re interested fella. |

Hi Mark, Richard will see this shortly I'm sure. The reason I bought Richard above red 110 was it was very similiar to my Dads 110 I grew up in but my Dad's was a year older so Turbo D in blue, just like yours! Will be great to see some photos. James

I've managed to find my old lightweight that I had in the mid 80's.
Trying to get in touch with the owner to see if he wants to sell me it back. Will then have to work out where to put it Click image to enlarge |
