Ring ring
> Answer the phone <Farting> Ring ring Answer the phone<Beeeeep> Ring ring Answer the phone < "Hello is that oslobl..." Beeeep I had to send a runner across hyde park from a job to the office... The funniest thing i saw all day was random people talking to eachother on the tube to entertain themselves, that and the Dot matrix overhead sign "DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR PHONE AND DRIVE - PHONES OUT" and watching all the drivers in front of me swerve as they checked their phones... I got an actual fax today, A real life fax... for how often I use mine, I haven't even noticed the network was down. I have even thought about replacing it with a really cheap unit, its just used for ringing takeaways and my pals the odd time, the parents had asked me if I wanted to go contract, but it wouldn't even be worth it lol. Isn’t it amazing how much most of us (sorry Procta) rely on our phones?
It’s a bit like a power-cut. You don’t miss it till it’s not there. I don’t know about you but I’m lost when I leave mine at home. |

I'm on Sky. (O2 Network.)
Noticed but never used it anyway, I only do about once a week if that. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

If you are talking about the Beans version of that phone I found it had a lot of problems with it. Predominantly issues with wind noise on the line.
I am particularly impressed with the way O2 have publicised that the problem was with a software issue with a piece of equipment supplied by Erickson. Sorry O2. If I am late for work because of the weather, do I blame Caral Kirkwood? (Actually I do. Sorry Carol. I hope I am still getting a Christmas card?) |

It is rather worrying how reliant people are on technology.
We have become less resilient and wide open to catastrophe when technology fails - as it will. I am of the BMP era (before mobile phones) and we managed very well with landlines ( often shared with your neighbours) and talking. Things took a bit longer but we managed quite well. We sorted WW2 without mobile phones too!! |
