It's going to be a user and so repaired and maitained rather than restored. That said I am undecided about the paintwork....paint it or love the patina?

I wont be offended if you dont answer but how much does one of these go for in todays market? I would keep the original paint as its timeless. |

Thanks all.
Prices for Series 3a seem to be as all over the place as Defender prices, but starting lower maybe and certainly not reaching the dizzying highs. I am coming down on the side of original paint as you only have it once! Not sure about the wheels, I have never been a fan of 8 spokes but actually don't mind them on this. The tyres need replacing though and I have 1 Defendet white steel rim with a new Avon Rangemaster on it....so finding 3 more of those is a possibility I am not ruling g out! |

I'd definitely get a set of proper rims and tyres on it. Looks remarkably unmolested otherwise. 2011 110 USW

Very nice, if itโs original paint definitely keep it, if not it still looks good and yes ditch the wheels.

I like the offset of these wheels with 235-85 tyres they fill the arches nicely. I think defender rims may be greater offset than series rims but it will still be less than these. If they stay a coat of limestone is worth a thought though, 2 need painting anyway.
