Once the surface is worn away you are done, it will need re-connolising.
I had a chap you came and restitched a seat that had come apart at the seams, he was very good - where re you based? Also a chap online called Royal Steering wheels re-covers steering wheels and has some more common ones in stock to do a swap. |

Yup that wheel will need recovering. A neat repair is possible on the seat tear or a patched in whole side section by a leather specialist.
Alternatively just buy a new(er) steering wheel and seat off ebay, and sell the old - it may not work out much more expensive and doesnt leave you without whilst work is done... |

If the steering wheel is beyond repair then I will live with it. It doesn’t bother me too much. I would like to repair the seat if possible. My plan is to put them in the back and restore another pair to match for the front. They won’t get used as much back there.
How would I go about repairing the seat? 2002 110 td5 |

I swap my seat bases between the two front seats every few months, it makes the bolters wear evenly and prevents work hardening a crease until it splits. (Or at least prolongs the life span of the base) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
