What would you replace after 10 years / 90K
Hello

So time had crept up on me and I have had my truck just over 3 years and next year it will be 10 years young Smile Its also heading to close on 95K now Shocked Shocked Its a 110 SW 2.4

I'm thinking to plan on some new bits underneath to make it feel tighter, newer etc... I have noticed the rear diff is louder than normal and also when doing say 50 / 60 and lift off there is more shunt? than normal (hard to explain like a stutter / judder?) not in performance just in the drive train?

So what would you recommend. I've changed lots in side and out but little underneath (panrod steering damper and poly bush I think that's it)

- I'm thinking a set of poly bushes all round, is there such a kit? whats recommended.

- Springs / Dampers? do they need doing? bit more comfort would be nice (I know its a Landy Rolling with laughter )

- Rear diff - refurbish current one? how much would this be. or buy a Ashcroft ATB? benefits?

Basically I've no idea, I love the truck and the time has flown by but think it needs so new bits to tighten everything up. I also want to add an aftermarket inter cooler and hoses to help the remap.

So a few plans for 2019 but I can start sourcing parts now and plan the mini overhaul

Thanks in advance for any recommendations. Thumbs Up

...& that's what I love about our Defender's, most other vehicles would be fit for scrap but good old basic engineering is so so easy to replace. Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

Triggers broom Smile comes to mind

If any one who has done it has a list of parts, recommendations or upgraded parts that would be good.

as above been there.....

first port of call from what you mentioned - rear drive flanges if they've not been replaced recently.
I'd suggest you look at some HD ones. I replaced with standard and from some reason they didn't last 5 minutes.

as above done all the bearing too.

if doing a diff refresh consider ATB diff?

if you're going BIG do you need to think about clutch replacement? as you've said poly bushes ( Thumbs Up ). brakes? calipers in my opinion might be getting towards the end of their life (piston corrode) and seals have a tendency to give up.

inspect and protect chassis (inside n out)

from the description and the little time it takes I'd defo take another look at the drive flanges. I was amazed at how quickly one of mine wore.
