Chile 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White
Modified oil pan
I cannot find that old thread regarding the recall for changing the early oil pan on the 2.4.

So I was wondering if the whole thing about mounting the engine down to the transfer case was just because the 2.4 was too tall for the Defender? If so would not have been wiser just to drop the engine mounts and designing a suitable oil pan!? Puma 110" SW

 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Stornoway Grey
It is too tall. The modified sump just has a slightly larger scallop out to avoid contact with prop on full bump. Sump extends on down past the side of prop at full bump already. Engine can't go any lower. Cheers
