Taking the now ay. I only fill up at BP or Shell as they generally give 24mpg+, Supermarket fuel only returns around 18mpg for me.
Blame Trump for winding up Iran... 134.9 at the BP locally, 132.9 at the BP 2 mins down the road. Saw it at 149.9 on a M25 services! |

Only £80 Our old 110 it could take the thick end of £200 to fill up! Yes second mortgage time! However the onboard tanks could hold 170 litres of fuel which gave a range of about a thousand miles so did not have to go to fuel stations that often. Brendan |

If you do enough miles, it’s worth looking at a Costco membership if you have a store with fuelstation nearby. It’s usualoy a few pence cheaper than anywhere else and the quality seems ok to me. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

132.9 a litre round here! I put £55 in my 90 the other day which is the most I ever spent on one fill up and it wasn't even that low
Agreed on Costco fuel, always cheaper, nearest one is 50 odd miles for me though so not particularly helpful Matt. '89 90 CSW with a 3.5 V8 conversion (WIP) - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic46809.html |

Diesel at £1.30/ litre that is 21.7p VAT and 60p fuel tax or 81.7p/litre tax or 63% of what we pay for fuel is tax.
. From Office of Budget Responsibility
Now with the move away from vehicles and fossil fuel where will the government make up the loss of fuel tax? RFT on electric or hybrid vehicles? Raise VAT on electricity? Brendan |

Probably go on rising the tax on those still hanging on to fossil fuelled cars till we are all bled dry........
But a very good point, someone is going to have to pay for all this. 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

My last tank was just north of £80. I suggested to the boss we should get one of these as a daily run-about but she wasn't having any of it.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago it started to creep, last week I saw it well over 1.20! I think that's the 1st for a long time!
I don't know why its jumped like that, compared to this time last year. I remember when it got daft the last time and the cost to fill the 306 from half to full had doubled! My pal who i was taking home nearly died when saw how much i put in! He said christ! I am putting in about £40 in a week, so i can see that hitting well into the 60s easy! $2.69 per gallon was the cheapest over here so about $43 to fill up my tank on regular unleaded. Most places are 2.80-2.90 per gallon.
