I have a 2002 110 hardtop with central locking.
The pasenger door recently would not close and I had to give it a bit of a slam. The lock now will not open with the remote or from the inside. Interestingly the key does not fit the passenger door either! The key is the ignnition key and this fits the driver's door and rear door without problems. Any ideas anyone? |

The door alignment is fine.
A couple of years ago I changed the strikers to X-Engineering ones and spent a long time adjusting them. The driver's door now clicks shut with a tiny push or pull. The passenger door proved a little more difficult and I settled for the position which requires a short sharp pull - it clicks with a firm pull from when the door is around 2" open. I've remove the trim around the push down locking button and unclipped the top of the door card, but I can't see anything or unclip the door card further! If I knew what I was looking for and where it was I might be able to insert a flat piece of metal or a staightened out wire coat hanger down the gap... |

Try pushing the door "closed" from the outside whist operating the remote. It may be that the lock has caught in a half closed position - if you know what I mean!

Much pushing and thumping hasn't worked - I'll try and get the door card off.
