SCRO approved winter tyres for 2018, which might be notionally helpful to someone.

Strange the BFG KO with no snowflake is on the list but the KO2, which carries the snowflake is not?

I states “Tyres specially design for winter use...”
Just seems a bit of an odd qualification to add, if general all terrain or mud terrain tyres can have similar cold weather performance Edit: I think pretty much any manufacturer can slap a M+S symbol on their tyres, provided they claim it has better performance than a normal tyre. However, to get the Alpine symbol requires objective testing and specific construction in line with UN regulations. Maybe the stro are trying to impose some rigour, without insisting all tyres have the Alpine symbol? Or maybe this list is just out of date? Or they have different testing requirements? https://www.continental-tyres.co.uk/car/ty...gs-article https://www.unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/trans/...r2am2e.pdf |

Doesn’t come in a Defender suited size I think. The LT2 however does. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Really? Cannot bring that size up for the R2. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
