HAd a day on the series stripping more parts off. Forget the mecanno talk. I don’t remember as many seized in nuts in impossible places to reach as I found today. Also used the “hammer on sockets “ for the stripped heads, jolly handy.
Anyway Landy getting lighter and pile of stuff getting bigger, so something of a tiptoe in the right direction. Wishing everyone a sunny bank holiday ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Happy days, back to it with the series three and the arrival of the new galvanised chassis. Hell of a job removing the bolts and fittings that hold the floor in so resorted to the grinder.

I don’t think anything is more satisfying than starting a build with a nice new chassis!
Keep up the good work, soon it will look like this... ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

That’s very inspiring Ian, just what I needed after a day with little to show. What was very positive earlier, was the arrival of my 200 piece Halfords tool set. Will be taking it with me tomorrow to christen it. Fifty nine years old and my first new toolkit,
Feeling quite the kiddy this evening. |

I’ve tried to search the forum for info on sandblasting but to no avail.
I’m told it can be too harsh for a Landy, but wondered if anyone has either experience and advice or a link to somewhere for me to look. Many thanks |

i tried sandblasting and it goes everywhere !!
i personally found the time spent on the extra cleaning to get rid off the sand wasn't worth it, especially important around diffs gearboxes and such ! |
