I've been out of Botswana for about 2 years, so not sure how much the fees have increased nor gravel road conditions.
If you fly into Maun, some mates have a hire company and can do all the bookings, etc. Check them out http://mckenzie4x4.com/ (they don't use Defenders anymore though ) Route 1: Maun - Moremi 3rd Bridge - Savute - Chobe - Nata (Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pans) - Maun. More water Route 2: Maun - Nxai - Makgadikgadi - Central Kalahari - Maun. More desert With a 2-3 night stay at each location, giving plenty of relaxed time to explore the areas, leisurely. September is generally a better game viewing time, the temperatures are rising and grass is short, game concentrating around waterholes. Heads up about plastic in Bots https://www.victoriafalls-guide.net/botswa...-bags.html Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
