It has been suggested elsewhere that the underneathy bits on the 70th anniversary vehicles owes a lot to the Bowler Defender challenge vehicles

^^^ +1. Which presumably means it is a version of their Fast Road Kit based on the Bilstein B6 set-up (with Bowler factory settings) plus unique-to-Bowler springs, made in the UK, so clearly not Eibach.
You can get the kit from Bowler for £3000 or you can get the Bilstein kit, plus Eibach springs and ARB from Alive for £978 and fit it yourself. That's £2000 on other kit or Doombar for a year. I simply cannot believe that Bowler/Bilstein settings on the B6 system and slung on a 2000kg Def with steel chassis, will feel any different to the standard B6 dampers. Unless you're one of the two Sébastiens (Loeb or Ogier). Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
