Very Stormtrooper in white. Not sure that’s for me with annual washes at the service!

I cannot remember exactly but it’s something like every 19000 or 21000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first but it has a monitoring and service due indicator / countdown in the info system to give you a month’s warning as well. I’m not sure if there is a difference between the petrols and the diesels.
One thing I’ve found with mine that is probably related to not doing many town miles and plenty of fast A roads is that the DEF consumption is a lot less than I was expecting from what I read on D5 and RRS forums. Maybe because this car is engineered from day 1 to have a DPF rather than them being added part way through the model’s lifespan. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Good to know re servicing and AB use. My present ride (Skippy the Skoda, aka a 2.0 TDi DSG 4x4 Karoq) seems to not go through much as well cf what other peeps report, pos coz most of that is up & down between Surrey & Highlands.

As Tim says 21000 miles or 24 months for the 2.0 I’m assuming the 3.0 will be the same.
AdBlue consumption my D4 went around 11000 miles, but D5 and Velar seem to be around 6000 miles. |

I'm just in the process of hopefully ordering a 3.0.
Dealer has just confirm that it would be serviced every 12 months/ 16,000. The service plan they have offered is £1,075 for the first 3 services. So i guess that is 2 minor and 1 major service. Does that sound similar to what you guys are getting? |

Another comparison video, be warned it’s Edmunds which I think is the American equivalent to Carwow.

Love the rear passenger tester. I’m assuming that’s Khaki?

Found this a while ago but it's for a diesel. Also not sure if there's a difference between diesel and petrol variants. Click image to enlarge '21 L663 X-Dyn HSE P400 Carpathian '13 L319 '03 L322 |

Thanks. If I went down the ND route I’d be doing quite low miles so every other year for a service is fine by me.

Also 9th Nov just parked up mine after a run and had the “Update ready to instal” message on the screen - it should be finished installing shortly so I’ll go out to see what’s up. Mine has been running 2.04 for a week now so hopefully this is 2.05.
It didn’t say what is being updated but it did say that the car will not be usable, including hazard warning and running lights won’t be available during the installation process OK update finished - it’s still a 2.04, and I already had a 2.04 but cannot remember the last group of ID - this one is P3C3 - so an update of an update!
