I wonder if if people are backing out of sealing the deal and collecting you’d lose your £500 reservation unless your dealer was very friendly but I would be considering bailing if I was due to collect this week. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Interesting spin from LR. They’re hammering home the idea that the past is in the past and it’s time to move on. A reaction to the general reception of the New Defender from previous/current Defender owners and green oval fans? If they really felt they’d nailed the transition between both incarnations, and had maintained clear lineage, they wouldn’t be trying to cut ties with the past so overtly. Instead they’re implying an ‘all new’ future is where it’s at. Is this a plan? Is this take what Gerry McG wanted for the Defender, to cut ties to its lineage, it’s predecessors? Or is this LR marketing firefighting because of the overall response. The video certainly sells the ‘car’ well. But as a D6 not a Defender..... Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

a number of posters on one of the owners FB pages have stated they have managed to transfer
the deposit to a new build and cancel their old. So it will seem LR may have even more MY20.5
stock on the forecourt whilst people wait for the 6 cylinder .. could be some discount incentives ?? yet another pommie bar steward down under

My first thought when I saw what he was moving from and to was ~ downsizing. He's going to have to go through an awful lot of kit he has and decide what he's not going to carry anymore.

They look so similar, the heritage so wonderfully carried through to the New Def, I didn’t even notice the 130. Maybe. Whistle Whistle Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

Don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it.

Land Rover Uk are allowing people to book a slot at their local dealership to see the 90 and 110 commercial
