Somehow not too sure how the bulb that lights the heater controls blinds me now when im driving...
I wedged a bit of tape in there just for the time being but does anybody have an actual fix? Other than remove the bulb.... hard to photo but Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I do have a single din fold out with lots of connections on the back... but it had been fine for 2+ years...

that does look very much like the bulb has fallen out of the holder and is now lighting up EVERYTHING behind the slider

the slider has a bit of thin plastic attached to it's stem I think. This slides back and forth with the slider to block the hole up. Looks like it's become misaligned or damaged to me. A bit of black plastic cut from a ready meal pot or similar would replace it.

Pretty common fault on circa 2011 models. Mine failed and melted the slider in the off position. Fortunately I had the extended warranty which covered the repair. I think the new panel was around £400 - ouch!
