I would imagine floats for the end of the winch line.
Possibly for winching boats, I would imagine so anyway.

Unless anyone else knows a specific purpose. Thumbs Up ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Definitely look like boat fenders, however, what their purpose is in this Defender configuration are I have no idea! For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

yeah I'd agree they look like boat fenders. I suppose they could be there to allow the vehicle to push another vehicle without damage.

You can get them in various sizes.

Could well be, though boat fenders are designed to be soft and flexible so a heavy vehicle pushing against them would almost flatten them and the fixing bolts would then do a bit of damage to car paint and bodywork. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

The ones my dad on his boat had a valve so you could pump them up to make them harder. Obviously the bigger the boat the hard you need them to be.
