SOLD 31/08/18
The day has come when we have to say goodbye to Larry our Defender 90 XS We bought the vehicle in July 2016 for weekend and holiday adventures. The intention was for this to be a keeper. Spent a lot of time and money tidying it up but unfortunately during 2017 my partner became seriously ill. During that time we got another dog to keep her company at home during the day when I was at work. Now that she is fully recovered, the 90 isn't really big enough for us with 2 dogs and luggage for holidays so we're looking for something with more internal space. Hence the sale. Details - Defender 90 XS - 2007 - Tonga Green - 70,846 miles - Full Service History Has all the usual XS refinements: - Leather steering wheel - Electric front windows - Air conditioning - Half Leather seats - Forward facing folding rear seats - Cubby box - Carpets - 'Cow horn' bar instead of bulkhead to allow more rearward seat positioning - Speakers front & rear - Genuine factory chequer plate - Genuine front light guards - Brunel grille and headlight surrounds - Side steps (replaced rotted ones with genuine replacements about 3 months ago) It's been kept in a garage and has serviced twice in my tenure by my local independent Ultimate 4x4 (Previously know as Ultimate Land Rover until the JLR legal people leaned on him). He's serviced all of the Land Rovers I've had for the last 10 years or so. They have been time services rather than mileage as I've only done just over 1200 miles in the two years I have owned it. (The longest journey being to and from Zagato's place ) Full service history. Last service on 02/08/18 MOT until 01/08/19 Aircon serviced 23/04/18 Other features - General Grabber tyres with lots of tread - Bodywork in excellent condition - Spare wheel carrier - Recently fitted new front bumper (the old one was a bit tatty). - Safari snorkel - Stainless steel lower aircon grille. - Good solid chassis (rings like a bell when tapped with a hammer) - Rustproofed by 'Zagato' on 02/11/17. See this post. - Additional security features (which I won't mention here with the exception of the window & panel etching) - Blue sea USB charger with spring lid instead of cigar lighter socket - Rear DIN power socket - Mud Stuff heater deflector - Replaced all rear internal lashing rings. - Lots of fixings replaced (fir trees etc). - I've had a lot of the fixtures & fittings powder coated as they were a bit scruffy when I bought it. - Many fasteners replaced with stainless steel where possible. It's a nice tidy well looked after example. A great opportunity to own one of the last 2.4 TDCi examples without DPF. Looking for £18950. Inspection welcome. Will be putting on eBay and Autotrader in the next couple of days. Cheers, Jason Donation to forum will be made after sale.
