Just realised today that the current GPS system is past the half century mark and has been in use for over two decades. One little niggle that has been there since day one is the tendency to get left and right confused. An instruction will start with a "LEF.." then suddenly turn to a "RIGHT". Bt difficult when approaching roundabouts or junctions but one just goes ahead then turns back at a convenient spot.Have tried to correct this software glitch over the years but without success.
Must admit that my model of the GPS takes up a little more space than the new fancy slim line units. Slim line was not the norm when I got my unit. Still those fancy slimline units are easily stolen-break a window and rip it out and run. My unit has the advantage, that nothing short of a JCB would shift it. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |
