Seems to be pretty competitive from the looking around I have done for wheels/tyres, however I think Bowler's are fairly standard at £350 a pop |

I was advised to try Bowler direct for a set of take offs, which I did and got a set of Black 18 for a very nice price, just some small marks.

OK for those who are asking.
They where £700 plus VAT inc delivery (£840) for 5, I know a chap in Northern Ireland also got a set of anthracite for a slightly higher price £800. Bargain I thought. The ones I got had done 2-3 thousand miles on a photo shoot vehicle, and had one or too small nicks in the paint, but nothing a black touch up paint pen did not sort and no worse than I am likely to do to them with normal use. 2008 Defender 110 XS CSW Volvo S60 T8 Triumph 1200 Rally Explorer G0UBX |

I spoke to Bowler direct and was offered ex-photographed (apparently fitted photographed then removed) in both 18" and 16". I went for the 16" which I kind of regret sometimes, but not other times. James

It's never ending with these Defender's that the trouble. I was happy spending more on the alloys but the tyres are 40% more expensive for less rubber! I also sometimes look at 18" alloys and think the tyres look too thin for a Defender. That's what I keep telling myself anyway James

Keep it up, you are already on that slippery slope of convincing yourself you need them, now it is just how to justify the change to the fun police.
Of course they would be so much safer than the currently fitted ones, or I am going to need new tyres for the MOT so it makes sense to replace the rims that could have been damaged the last time I went off road. 2008 Defender 110 XS CSW Volvo S60 T8 Triumph 1200 Rally Explorer G0UBX |

Went with 265 65 18 BFG KO2, wanted to keep as close to the original 235 rolling diameter as possible. Used to have 255 85 16 at one point and had issues with the mapping and the engine knowing what gear it was in to use the correct map for that gear. 2008 Defender 110 XS CSW
