Got forcompany name a work vehicle so matches what I do in it with what it says. Also no need for signwriting when you either know it, or don't, and if you don't, you probs don't want or need to know TY&GN
10 years in a WOLF, WIMIK and Snatch and this is all I have to show! |

Non-dating Land Rover related plate, yes.
Had persuaded myself not and then searched on DVLA for a plate and found it for £££’s less than the usual suspects and admittedly couldn’t resist.... I bought all mine on the DVLA Auctions. Way cheaper than the Elite Registrations and Reg Transfers people.
Interesting comments, apparently I'm now 'extremely insecure'. Hilarious Zed |

I got mine from DVLA direct too. That search tool is very addictive if you don't have one already as I found back at the time! $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Mines an ageless plate that came with a previous car, and thought I'd keep it. Doesnt really have any significance to me, but I like it all the same.
I'm happy being socially insecure. At least I think I am 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Greeni, Apologies if I offended. It wasn't my intention, just an general observation.
Do you have a different reason for wanting to disguise the age of your motor? |

I have an old dateless ABC 123 style plate that I have had for years. Its no connection to my name, but I have had it on most Land Rovers that I own. I would not class it as a 'private' plate though.
I don't particularly like what are called 'private plates' with someone's initials - I can't understand why people pay tens of thousands of pounds for a car, then bung a date prefix plate on that cost a couple of hundred quid - to me they look cheap, and often spoil the look of a nice car. I guess though that lots of younger people with these kind of date prefix plates don't remember when everyone looked out for new registrations and there was some kind of snobbery connected with them. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

They're no more vain or show off than having Natagatanenenega or whaterever is it/chrome/DRL's/ landy-glass or any other bit bolted/glued/fixed to your truck.

No need for an apology, I take everything with a pinch of salt (and a cake after) I don't mind reading differing opinions, we all have them. Thank you for your comments though, I really don't mind. My reason is not to disguise the age, I think they look better with them, tidier, shorter number plates can be used too. And above all, because I want to. On our travels around the UK we often play a game of trying to spot a Range Rover without a personal plate. In many years and thousands of miles we have yet to see a single Range Rover Sport without one. Full Fat Range Rovers on the other hand seem to be about 80/20 % personal plates. Not sure why that should be?

I have L90 then my initials. I saw it on the DVLA website when I was just having a browse not really intending to buy one, but when I saw that I just thought it would be the perfect finishing touch to my rebuild.

That 90 looks just perfect with XZL's on and in basic form... maybe just needs a Husky or 8274 on a factory bumper. |
