Inlet Manifold hose change without removing any water pipes
Hi, massive turbo whistle the other day. Eventually found a split in the 90 degree pipe from intercooler (after metal section) to inlet manifold. I manage to remove it without removing any of the obstructing water pipes etc. I then spent all day trying to refit a new one and I gave up with hands of agony and blood. Please tell me someone else has fallen short here too, or any tips? or should we just drain coolant system and remove water pipes for access? May of been quicker!?

It is possible to change them, but your right, it’s a pig of a job! but like most things on the TDCI,
It’s easier and quicker to strip and refit surrounding parts to get the job done with much less hassle Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Don't replace it with anything other than a silicon hose or you will be doing it again in another 60000.

It can be done in situ, boiling water soak for the pipe and washing up liquid smeared on the inner lip. 4 elbows and 2 wrists and you’re there. My wife got mine on in the end 😂😂

She could hear me chuntering from the kitchen apparently Rolling with laughter 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

I wouldn't asking for trouble.
Will be in limp mode as well.
When I did mine the local mechanic sent the apprentice and a roll of duct tape.
Promptly got sent on his way.
