wouldn't think there's much advantage in going for a new one.

I would recommend Ashcroft Transmissions.
When my front diff disintegrated an HD diff from Ascroft was both cheaper as an outright purchase and better built than an exchange diff from Landrover. I've just looked at their prices, and it's £255 for an exchange rebuilt standard 2-gear Rover pattern diff, or an extra £260 for a 4-gear centre (or +£335 for an ATB centre). It will be every bit as good, and probably better, than a new one from JLR. |

Thank you all for your quick responses. Much appreciated.
Ashcroft were great on the phone and really helpful so I ordered it there and then... £255+ VAT and postage so not the end of the world! |
