Hi Guys
We’re starting to put things together so we can use the 90 for camping and LHG wants to know what gas are people using for cooking? We intend to use a set up on the back door but if it’s raining then maybe inside but do we use Propane or Butane? Thanks for your help and any tips that you might have👍 Life is one big adventure, that's why we have the vehicle for the journey. |

If you anticipate using the setup in winter then propane, otherwise butane. Butane burns hotter but is reluctant to come out of the cylinder at much below 5C. Propane can be used at much lower temperatures. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

I use Petrol (an MSR stove) when climbing in the Alps. Gas has much lower pressure/propulsion in the cold (minus 10) temperatures... The old blue "Camping Gaz" stuff won;t boil a kettle under these circumstances... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)
