My god that is bad! Okay, it's possible to miss a cut for a short while but that tyre shoulder looks well worn too! No Guts, No Glory.

There's plenty of muppets on the road.
I painted my galv bumper on Friday, I wasn't happy with it, so I've already had a new one delivered today. From one extreme to another. |

Greeni - A little bit of perfectionist creeping in, Careful or before you know it you'll be polishing and waxing it next.
It's a slippery slope. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Makes a mockery of us having the threats of ANPR cameras rammed down our necks along with the police being able to see whether any vehicle on the road is taxed and MoT'd

Such 'careful' owners are the reason I don't buy second hand unless it is a dedicated project with an established budget to get it back to my standards. Prefer to get something 'smaller' but new and a warranty. IMHO. m

Long story....about ANPR cameras
My daily driver has a private plate which starts with the number 1. I changed my car in Sept 2016 but remained with the same insurer. Approx. 9 months later I get a letter from the finance company saying that the car was NOT insured. I immediately checked with my insurer ; yes it is . What followed was a day of me on hold going back n’forth between my insurer & the finance company. When I checked on the MID ( motor insurance database) sure enough I was NOT insured. How could this be? It finally clicked with me. Some muppet had entered my reg at the insurance company with a letter i not a ONE. For 9 months I had been driving around on motorways into city centres etc & never been picked by any system. When the insurance company said that they would change my details they said it could take upto 2 weeks to through. Fortunately it didn’t & it was correct within 24 hrs ANPR bit if a joke really. Guy May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful. |

I had the same as Chopperone, the insurance company had entered the reg incorrectly, however I got a letter to say my vehicle had been spotted and wasn’t on the MID. A quick phone call sorted that out. I guess some areas are hotter on it than others?

I've seen what greeni uses to keep his fleet clean. Believe me, the waxing won't be happening

There is plenty out there who just don't even look at their vehicle just grab the keys hop in and drive. I know a few FFRR and sports who the owners report tyre life to be about 10 - 15K due to vehicle weight - driving style - simply the fact the geometry likes to scrub the inner shoulders out.
Now it is easy to have an annual mileage higher than that and the possibility of never checking the tyres until that once a year garage trip for service / mot. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |

I'm surprised you're surprised
there's no end to the number of muppets on the road. only yesterday I was heading straight ahead at an island/roundabout. entry exit road both 2 lanes with white lines down the middle. the mooron to the left of me almost hit his offside wheels on roundabout........go figure how much room I had! few weeks back the next roundabout on same road has traffic lights around it with all these white lines helping people to see where they should be going but clearly some drivers can't see as the stupid b**ch to my left thought I'd cut her up I've become convinced flashing orange lights and driving licenses are now nothing more than an optional extra |

How the hell have they not been caught with out a MOT? specially that long! I am sure its about a 1000 quid fine and the car seized now.
You do get people who drive around with tyres like that, one lad i worked with had damage to his tyre wall, it was that bad the inner part of the tyre was exposed. So it was a right old ticking time bomb. I told him to throw the spare wheel on for safety sake. He said he wasnt going to do that as the car would look , ( spare wheel was a steel wheel) I said who cares as long as its safe. When it went in for its service Renault picked up on it straight away and they told him to throw the spare wheel on or get the tyre changed straight away, as it was on the verge of going bang. Some people dont care at all, about safety! My defenders off the road till i get new tyres, as the ones i have on are getting dangerous in the wet and a starting to crack.
