Well my Defender has gone in for Warranty work, as as far as it goes, yet again my dealership is very unhelpful.
Both rear mud guards have torn from the body work, if you know the mud guards on the 110 you will know where i mean. the fixing to the bodywork lip is substandard, just connected to the tin alloy body. you look at the fixing on the 90,and a nice 3m steel plate with 3 fixings... NOT COVERED as you have been off road in it sir. Seat beat getting damaged when get trapped closing the door. Whole new assembely need. NOT COVERED. Excessive steering wheel wobble at 50-60mph. I have steel mods with AT tyres. NOT COVERED after market wheels sir. Seal above door to be replaced. COVERED Rear folding Seats will not go back up. 1 now works after they have looked at it, the other is missing parts. A Manchester dealership looked at it some weeks ago, said it needed a new frame. obvioulsy did not put all the components back as my dealership say they are missing. NOW NOT COVERED Catch broken on Cubby Box. Because i raised the cubby box by putting timber under it, is now NOT COVERED Has anyone else experienced the above and did get the work covered. Next step is get the vehicle bak to write to LR You know it will just be pointless and painful |

1,the mudflaps were they pulled by reversing onto a ledge etc
2,trapped seat belt won't be covered as you should have checked it had recoiled fully before closing the door 3,cubby box doesn't matter if you've moved it to roof it's still covered by the warranty 4,rear seat ring the Manchester dealer re missing parts 5,non std wheels and tyres,so not covered 2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. |
