I think that mods that are very visible and very difficult to reverse certainly have the potential to devalue a vehicle.
How big a gap are you trying to bridge? ISTR that member X4SKP on here came up with a subtle way of extending his arches by 10-15mm, which may be worth searching out. I'd say they are the same arches.
I'm only guessing, but its a shame the fixing points pre-shaped into the arches arent picking up the holes from the factory standard arches 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

I would say they are different, the down the side view doesnt have a snorkel of course it could have been removed.
Also if you look at the top of the arch to the top of the wing radius the gap looks alot less on the down the side view. might be the angle though What tyres are you running and what sort of gap are you trying to cover, do you have any photos of yours? |

They are different. Look at how far up the wing the arch comes on both pictures.

Hello blakey999 I wasn't the first to do this but pleased with the result...NO Body Work alterations, (other than to Wheel Arch) Adds around 35mm (projection) to standard wheel arch (sold as 1-3/4'') Here's the link... (I imported mine...have seen them occasionally over here) https://www.amazon.com/Pacer-Performance-5...sbs_auto_5 I also dispensed with the screw fixings and used small Stainless Steel bolts (round head) + Nylock Nuts + Nylon Washers I also didn't use the wire insert as it wasn't needed, the standard Defender wheel arch 'sets' up the positioning well. Good Luck... SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

Thanks for the replies, I don’t ‘need’ bigger ones it’s just I wonder if they will make the wheels look
more at home. Here are a few poor quality photos! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
