Unbelievable! Any CCTV?
Hopefully Scratch Doctor or similar can sort that out without too much cost. Looking at your photo, i doubt it has actually been 'keyed'. Usually people who deliberately scratch cars do it in straight lines. I think far more likely is someone has caught it with a handbag clasp / buckle, or something of that nature, when getting in / out of their neighbouring car.
Still a very annoying thing to happen for your daughter, but it would be nice to restore some faith in humanity in the hope that it wasn't actually done deliberately. That being said, there is still a good chance that the person who did it knew they had done so and still just walked away, which isn't a huge amount better. Once had a car scraped all the way down one side in a supermarket car park - every panel from bumper to bumper. Clearly the person next to me manoeuvring out of the space. Must have known they'd done it and just drove off. No CCTV or any way to find the culprit. So I feel the pain! Fortunately as it's only a relatively fine scratch any decent bodyshop will be able to fill / polish it out for relatively little money, or through an insurance claim (although I wouldn't personally go down that route given how much insurance companies love to penalise customers for making any type of claim). 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |
