Panhard Rod play.
So I noticed some clunking when turning and it turns out there is some play in the Panhard Rod. I managed to get a quarter turn on the nut and that has helped. I thought though that the bolt and Bush were all an interference fit... Is this not the case? V8 90...WIP

It needs to be tight, the tolerances that allow you to fit and remove the bolts mean that there is some play. Can cause horrendous vibration at speed if left too loose. 80" 1948

I had this on one of my previous 90's, the bolt at the chassis end of the PR had worked loose, I took the bolt out to check properly and found although it was a close enough fit in the bush, it had a groove worn into it from where it passed through the bracket allowing a couple of mm extra movement side to side.
Played havoc with the handling.

The hole for the bolt can wear allowing movement.
A washer welded in place solves the problem.
