Quite a transformation, looking good!
What are the mk1 Fiestas I see hiding away? I’ve got a real desire for a mk1 xr2 that I must get out of my system one day! |

The black one is an XR2, my mate owns both mk1’s in the picture. The silver one is a 1.1s which he’s actually just sold tonight to finance the restoration of the xr2.
It was his first XR2 when he was 18. He’s 40 next year! |

Learned to drive in a 1.1 Supersport in Signal Amber, unfortunately got written off by my Mum (her car) shortly after I passed my test

Yes, the escort is mine, there's a few more other treasures hidden under covers from my youth

Nicely done. You don't see too many trailer builds where the tub is altered to suit. They usually either remain as a simple trailer or are completely replaced with new bodywork. Darren

Thank you.
I kept the tub as I had the choice to always turn it back into a simple sankey if need be. I would do another based on a new frame though on a sankey chassis. |

Looking good,
That fridge is a bit of kit ![]() Do you build the high box around the tub, Like that. Especially if it could almost bolt on / off depending on use. |

Yes. This way the top canopy can be unbolted and it’s a trailer again. Also all the electrics are bolted to it except the leisure battery which sits in the tub.
Currently no solar panel but that’s next job to do. Hartford window is spot on. This is the 3rd I’ve had from them now. |

Trailer has 240 hookup wired in with small consumer unit and 2 x 240v sockets, ideal if you want a proper toaster or microwave.
on that i have wired in a 12v charger that charges the 120Amp leisure battery. this way you can run all the 12v items from the battery and simply leave it on charge when not in use to bring back up to full charge. interior lights in trailer and the inside has been professionally lino'd which is great incase of any liquid spills, it is also quite good as an anti slip. inside the cutlery area there are 2 x led lights, storage for all pots, pans, plates etc. i also keep my backup stove in there as it slots in nicely. externally there are 2 x deep sea 12v sockets, assorted USB sockets around the trailer and 1 x external flood light for lighting up the rear. the back door is on a gas strut which works perfectly, anti luce clips hold it down and also allow you to padlock though them to prevent being opened. both wheels are wolf wheels with brand new goodyear wrangler MTR's. A frame has been extended by 500mm, tows so much better and also allow for rear door of defender to open when connected. 2 x jerry can holders on the A bar along with a full size spare wheel for the trailer. |
