Kids, doing it on purpose. If it was a fox they'd be chewed up, gone or you wouldn't find them.
My thoughts anyway $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Well you never know.
On a more serious note, ah I see then it might just be young ones playing. I'm surprised they didn't disappear though! The grease might be in some way attractive like coolant is to animals and of course they are rubber and chewable. Could be a badger too, but less likely. Try leaving them off for a few days when your not using it off at night and might leaving it alone then when nothing is there. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Cover them with Vaseline, a trick that works with Longleat monkeys too. Darren

Jeys fluid might put them off. Amazed if it is foxes though. Do you know anyone with a PIR activated camera? Would love to see it happen.
We did have a crow once that was obsessed with one of our windows, came back every day for ages just pecking the window.
