LR Wolf rims are too narrow for 285 tyres, the wolf rim been 6.5" therefore there is a real danger of poping the tyre off the rim and is not recommended.

You are very unlikely to be able to run tyre chains on either 285/75 or 255/85 tyres due to insufficient clearance. Unless you have a fairly radical lift or have enlarged the arches you'll do considerable damage.

Thanks for the feedback.
So I figure out that 255/85R16 has never been a LR option for the Defender(?). Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |

No, but I have seen several Scottish Power Defenders fitted with 255/85/16 from new. Not sure if these were factory fitted by LR SV vehicles or aftermarket. Some of the vehicles in the same fleet also had BFG 265/75/16 on Wolf Rims.
